Finals are done (I passed, I passed!) and I'm back on the island for a few days. Kim and I took her dogs out to Uplands park and enjoyed one of the rare sunny moments. Garry Oak meadows like these are what the south island would look like (in between the patches of temperate rain forest) if humans had left it alone. It's too bad I'm not here about two weeks from now because the Camas is about to pop and the meadows would look like something from a fairy tale. Ah well, still beautiful!
